The Curtis Parent Organization (CPO) is a nonprofit organization, run by volunteers, comprised of parents and guardians of Ephraim Curtis Middle School students.

 

Our mission is to support the school with volunteers and funding for events and activities, enrichment programs, scholarships, and items for the teachers, staff, and administration that will enrich students’ experiences.

 

Our primary goals are to:

  • Provide scholarships for students
  • Offer cultural and creative enrichment programs
  • Fund items not covered in the SPS budget
  • Thank the teachers, staff, and administration with appreciation events
  • Foster a sense of community within our school

Bus Driver Appreciation

On April 29th, we will recognize our amazing bus drivers and crossing guards who help get our children to and from school safely each day.

We’d like to send a huge thank you to everyone who made the 8th Grade Social a success!

  • Kelly Tharp Ewart worked tirelessly to organize a fun and memorable event for 8th graders.
  • From the CPO Board, Tiffany Kudravetz oversaw online ticket sales, and Alicia Larkin, Jenn Spencer, and Holly Tenbrook served as guides and resources throughout planning.
  • Katie Champagne, Cassandra Colburn, Julie Fragale, Kimberly Lustig, and Lara Urso all helped during the event.

We would also like to send a special thank you to Roller Kingdom, who effectively donated 10% of what we spent via a credit, and to Brines Sporting Goods for donating proceeds from hoodie sales. Their generosity directly benefits the 8th grade moving-on activities.

The Curtis online store is open throughout the year with lots of Curtis spirit wear and gear, including clothing, hats, bags, and more. We have t-shirts, shorts and joggers which are perfect as we lead into spring and spring sports!

Support the Curtis Annual Fund

We have $450 to go to reach our annual fundraising goal! We can meet it with:

  • 5 donations of $100
  • 9 donations of $50
  • 18 donations of $25

Please consider a tax-deductible donation of $25 to help us meet our target. Our annual budget is $25,000, 35% of which comes directly from CPO parents, and we are getting close.


Your money goes directly to work for the students and for the school in the form of events such as the student and community workshops with Max Stossel, student scholarships, student social events, end-of-year activities, UA supplies, recess equipment, teacher appreciation events, the tile project in the school hallways, and much more.
